Certified specialists bill for planning time, travel, and treatment coordination before any meeting takes place. Intervention payment plans may be discussed during your free, confidential consultation with Addiction Interventions, but availability and terms must be confirmed for your situation.
No price or payment schedule should be assumed before that conversation. Monthly amounts, deposits, approval rules, and repayment periods depend on the option offered. Ask for every term in writing before you sign or authorize a charge. Nothing is automatic.
Your first call gives our team the information needed to discuss cost and possible payment paths. Addiction Interventions offers free, 100 percent confidential consultations 24 hours a day. Calls go directly to our co-founders rather than a centralized call center.
During the consultation, describe what’s happening, where your loved one is located, who may take part, and how quickly the family hopes to act. We use those facts to discuss the likely service scope. Every intervention plan is customized because the same approach won’t fit an alcohol crisis, a mental health emergency, and a situation involving both.
Ask what the term “payment plan” means in your case. It may refer to payments made on scheduled dates. Financing may involve a separate lender, credit approval, interest, or other fees. The distinction affects how much you owe and who receives each payment.
Get the terms first.
Addiction Interventions uses a four-phase process that includes the initial consultation, family preparation, the intervention, and ongoing support. A useful quote should make clear which parts of that process are included in the proposed fee.
Family preparation may involve coaching on what to say, what to expect, and how to set loving but firm boundaries. A certified specialist then leads the intervention conversation. Our ongoing support includes treatment placement coordination and follow-through during treatment and beyond.
Our certified interventionists travel to families across all 50 states and can lead in-home or facility-based interventions. Ask how travel time, transportation, lodging, schedule changes, and the intervention location affect your quote. Never assume that a quoted fee includes each item.
Scope drives the quote.
A financing option is usable only when your family can meet its terms. Because certified interventionists from Addiction Interventions travel to all 50 states, confirm that the written agreement reflects the correct intervention location and expected service dates.
Compare total repayment alongside the monthly amount. A smaller monthly bill can produce a larger total cost when interest and fees apply. If credit is involved, ask about the annual percentage rate, fixed or variable interest, credit checks, late charges, and any penalty for paying the balance early.
The agreement should also identify the creditor. A direct installment agreement with a service provider differs from financing offered by an outside lender. Confirm where payments go, how disputes are handled, and which cancellation or refund terms apply.
The financial agreement covers the professional services listed in it. Another person’s decision to accept treatment remains outside that contract, so a payment plan should never be treated as an outcome guarantee.
Read every line.
Your insurance company decides what your policy covers. Ask whether professional intervention services qualify for benefits, whether preauthorization is required, and what documentation the insurer needs. Request the answer in writing when possible, and keep that verification separate from any fee discussion with Addiction Interventions at 949-776-7093.
Intervention services and later clinical care may have different coverage rules. Addiction Interventions coordinates treatment placement and follow-through, while the insurer and selected treatment provider determine their own billing requirements. Authorization for treatment shouldn’t be assumed to cover the intervention professional’s fee.
The SAMHSA payment resource provides a federal overview of ways people may pay for behavioral health treatment. Families considering alcohol treatment can also use the NIAAA Alcohol Treatment Navigator to review provider qualifications and treatment questions.
Keep records of every insurance call. Write down the representative’s name, the date, any reference number, and the exact service discussed. General statements about behavioral health benefits aren’t the same as verification for a specific intervention charge.
Ask who will lead the intervention and which services continue after the meeting. Addiction Interventions is Joint Commission Accredited, and its intervention plans draw from named methods rather than a single script used for every family.
Lead Interventionist David Allen Gates is a Certified Intervention Professional and Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has over 20 years of experience directing addiction treatment programs and has personally led over 1,500 interventions. His training includes the ARISE method, Johnson Model, and Family Systems Intervention.
Clinical Director and Lead Interventionist Jennifer Miela-McDaniel began working as a drug and alcohol counselor in 1993. She is a trauma specialist trained in five intervention models and works with drug, alcohol, gambling, eating disorder, adolescent, and geriatric cases.
An intervention creates a structured opening for treatment. Diagnosis and clinical care still come from qualified providers. The Mayo Clinic overview of substance use disorder treatment explains why treatment planning may involve assessment, therapy, medication, and continuing care based on the person’s needs.
Price matters. Fit matters too.
Call 911 if your loved one has overdosed, has a life-threatening medical problem, is violent, or poses an immediate danger to themselves or someone else. Payment discussions can wait during an emergency.
Call or text 988 if someone is experiencing suicidal thoughts or another mental health crisis. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline connects people in the United States with trained crisis counselors.
If there is no immediate danger, our team is available 24/7 to discuss a crisis intervention and help your family assess its options. Nationwide availability allows a certified interventionist to travel directly to your location when a professional intervention is appropriate.
Intervention financing is never a substitute for emergency care. Use 911 for immediate danger and 988 for suicide or mental health crisis support.
These answers reflect the consultation and intervention process used by Addiction Interventions for families across all 50 states.
Available payment or financing options must be confirmed during your free, confidential consultation. Terms can depend on the planned services and the specific payment method. Ask about the deposit, due dates, total repayment, fees, and creditor before agreeing.
The cost depends on the plan developed for your family. Specialist time, preparation, travel, location, treatment coordination, and follow-through may affect the service scope. Addiction Interventions provides situation-specific information after hearing the facts of your case.
Coverage depends on your insurance policy and the service being billed. Contact the insurer and ask specifically about professional intervention services. Confirm network rules, deductibles, preauthorization requirements, and required documents rather than relying on general behavioral health coverage information.
Treatment charges should be verified separately unless a written agreement explicitly says otherwise. Our ongoing support includes treatment placement coordination, but each selected facility has its own admissions, insurance, and payment process.
Be ready to discuss your loved one’s current behavior, substance use or mental health concerns, location, recent emergencies, previous treatment, and the family members who may participate. You can still call if you don’t have every detail. The consultation helps organize what is known and identify what needs clarification.
The interventionist keeps the conversation calm and focused while the family presents its concerns and boundaries. Family preparation covers what to say and how to respond to refusal. Acceptance cannot be guaranteed, and our team continues supporting the family after the intervention meeting.
